WHAT WE DO

Ergonomic assessments

Ergonomic assessments can increase a person’s efficiency and productivity and reduce discomfort and injuries by fitting the workplace to their needs.

Workstation ergonomic assessments and training

The assessments are generally completed in a computer-work setting either in the workplace or home office, however can also include consoles, warehouses and sketching stations.

We review each set up to ensure they are maximised for productivity and minimal injuries, and make recommendations based on posture, positioning, pacing, pause breaks, stretching regimes and/or workstation modifications.

Ideal outcomes of an ergonomic assessment include:

  • Improved staff awareness and self-management of correct ergonomics in the workplace or in a work from home setting
  • Optimised workstations allowing for optimised work performance
  • Reduced risk of workplace injuries

Any organisation with a large cohort of sedentary workers wanting to proactively mitigate risk of both postural or repetitive use injuries would benefit from this assessment.

Ergonomics training

Good ergonomics reduce a worker’s discomfort and injuries by fitting the workplace to their needs.

Our training provides in-depth education on best-practice ergonomics and setting up your workplace correctly to help minimise the risk of injuries or conditions caused by poor ergonomics.

We can provide this training on an individual basis, or as a group.

Ideal outcomes of an ergonomics training include:

  • An upskilled workforce who understands and can enforce correct ergonomic practices and guidelines
  • Reduced risk of injuries related to incorrect ergonomics

Ergonomic assessment – quick check/office sweep

We will visit a worksite and complete a quick (10-15 minutes per assessment) check of multiple workstations providing generic ergonomic recommendations to ensure all of the equipment being used is set up in an ergonomically correct manner that minimises the risk of both postural or repetitive use injuries.

The assessor will quickly, visually review the workstation, sitting posture and make any adjustments possible to optimise the position.

The assessments are brief and do not provide any opportunity for discussion with workers around individual injuries or illnesses.

As such, these assessments are better suited to be a proactive measure and an injury prevention service.

This assessment type is purely recommended for those organisations who want to be proactive in injury prevention with a higher volume of sedentary workers.

Any individual who already has an injury may not benefit from this service due to the inability to provide specialised recommendations.
